The American Heart Association and DCH Health System invite the community, especially company HR, Safety and Wellness Directors, to a free event and luncheon on October 28, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. to gain insights on improving the health of your workforce, and our community. The American Heart Association is a national leader in workplace health and provides evidence-based recommendations and resources.
Attendees will hear from Dr Aaron Hoffman, Cardiothoracic Surgeon, as he addresses the risk factors behind heart disease and the cost to employer, employee, and the hospital system. Additionally, attendees will receive tips and strategies for returning to work and how to plan for upcoming changes in the new Covid world.
The lunch portion will highlight local entrepreneur, Charli K. Matthews. Charli is the Founder & CEO of Empowering Brands, a digital media and marketing services company. She is an open heart survivor and will share her journey to wellness with a warrior mindset. She will discuss the process and how making space for wellness is essential to workplace safety and increased productivity.
